Okay, screw this

Not doing Oriko. For various reasons.

There are already two other groups doing it. Waste of effort. If it were just one other group, that’d still be somewhat reasonable.
No raws. While theoretically we could just take anon’s raws, I feel kinda bad for not just helping them on their open scanlation party instead.
We might as well work on other stuff that’s not being scanlated. And it’s not like we can compete with the speed of the other groups.
The art isn’t particularly appealing, unlike the Madoka manga.

As for whose you should read, I’m more partial to anon/4chan’s based on what I’ve seen (the first eight pages). It’s not perfect, but at least the English is a lot better compared to the 4chan Madoka volume 2 scans. Yurikai’s just doesn’t flow that well, and their translation is off in various places, specifically the line on page 11 where they translated it to “It’s okay to tell Kyubey” when it should have been something along the lines of “Kyubey, I have some good news for you” (for those of you who know Japanese, it was キュゥべえ、いいお知らせよ).

Yurikai’s typesetting is gorgeous though; they put so much effort into the sound effects even though they say that it’s a speedscan.

Anyway, look forward to other series from us I guess.

wtf are raws

There are no raws for anything. No Oriko, no Kazumi, not even 5cm. We cleared out our schedules in preparation for an onslaught of releases, and are instead idly refreshing for raws (or at least I am). We even considered picking up another side project in the meantime, but there were no raws for that, either. wtf are raws.

tl;dr no releases until raws show up

Edit: Tried another side project, which also had no raws.

Blah edit: Guess we’ll pick up Hanasaku Iroha. It’s personally my second favourite show this season (with Ano Hana being first) and the other group doing it doesn’t do this series justice (i.e. the translations and English are atrocious).

In the end, we went through 5 series that had no raws whatsoever: Hoshi wo Ou Kodomo, The Place Promised in Our Early Days, Otome Youkai Zakuro and the two complete Bungaku Shoujo mangas. Japan, why you do this.

Shini-tan: Okay, so I finish downloading vol1 of Hanasaku Iroha and then Oriko/Kazumi both come out at the same time. wtf is timing. Anyway, this means that HanaIro will be stalled until we get through all of this, and Oriko will come out sometime in the near future. Kazumi will be after that.

Delays, etc. Well, at least the first volume’s done. Second volume is supposed to be out by now, but we can’t find any RAWs, so if anyone has any, please tell us. Batch will come in a bit; there will actually be a few changed pages for once because I derped while I was translating/editing the script.

And uh, we’ll probably end up scanlating Oriko Magica. Why?

Gosick ED1/ED2 Single – Resuscitated Hope (FLAC)

Basically, this torrent sucks because the .CUE is all fucked up; see here for why.
Somehow, the last half of Resuscitated Hope and unity were turned into pregap for the following track (over two minutes’ worth each), and fixing this is a pile of unnecessary effort. Naturally, because Resuscitated Hope is a fantastic song, this problem cannot be tolerated.

tl;dr download this because it sounds better than MP3 and whoever made the .ape torrent failed miserably.
