Okay, so we worked some stuff out with /a/non. We’ll be jointing with them on Kazumi for chapters 2+. You can read the full IRC chat log below, but the tl;dr is that a) he’ll be taking care of the translations and we’ll do the rest, b) he’ll be getting unprocessed raws from that guy on PD and supplying them to us, and c) chapter 1 will be re-done when tank raws come out.

Madoka Magica c01
So finally, here it is. Madoka Magica chapter 1. We went with “Puella Magi” for two reasons:
- “Magical Girl” sounds retarded, and
- RNG said so.
As for other random stuff that’s somewhat related:
- We are doing Puella Magi Kazumi Magica, a spinoff of Madoka Magica. While we did find raws off PD, they had watermarks every 10 pages, so if you have access to any non-watermarked raws, please tell us. Otherwise, Shini’s going to have to ‘shop them out, which is quite a pain (although it shouldn’t be as bad as redrawing).
- Credits page was a choice between MORNING RESCUE and huge Kyubey face. Which one did RNG decide on? You’ll have to download and see for yourself.

we need money
If you’ve been on tokyotosho.info lately, you would notice that everyone in Canada basically got hit by the duopoly ISPs that are Bell and Rogers. What this means for this group, which has the majority of its members in Canada, is that we’re all paying out our noses for bandwidth. (Shini is paying $40/month for a mere 25 GB of data transfer per month, and speeds of 5 mbps/800 kbps.)
In other words, we’d appreciate any free money (most people call them “donations”), since it would help with the arduous work that is scanlating well. In other words, support good English and donate!
